Impact of COVID-19 on peer review process
As a result of the significant disruption that is being caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that many authors and peer reviewers are having to make adjustments to their professional and personal lives. As a result, this may lead to some delays in the peer review process.

Call for submissions
Starting with the 2019 issue, JESLA publishes the best work by EUROSLA members, irrespective of whether the work was presented at the annual conference.
Who can submit to JESLA?Submissions are accepted from all EUROSLA members of good standing – i.e. current members who have attended at least one EUROSLA conference in the last three years. The submitted papers may draw on the work presented at the conference, but it could also be new work not previously showcased at EUROSLA.
Deadlines and turnaround timesPapers can now be submitted at any point. The turnaround time between submission and publication remains 6-9 months.
Article lengthPapers should be between 7,000 and 8,000 words in length (including the abstract, acknowledgements, references, endnotes, tables/figures and their legends). Please follow the journal's Author Guidelines when preparing your paper.
JESLA best article awardThere is an award for the best paper submitted to JESLA in any one year. The prize consists of a EUROSLA conference fee and dinner waiver + a framed certificate. The prize is presented at the AGM during the conference.
